Dani Levinas
(Buenos Aires, Argentina 1948 )


Dani Levinas is the chairman of the board of The Phillips Collection, the first modern art museum in the United States, founded by Duncan Phillips in 1921.

He also serves on the board of the Youth Orchestra of the Americas and previously held a seat on the board of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden of Washington D.C.

Levinas regularly participates in conversations and conferences about art, collecting, and trends in the contemporary art world including guest lecturer role teaching a course titled “The art industry” at the Universidad Europea of Madrid.

He is a regular contributor to El Pais, the Spanish newspaper, about art and patronage.

Levinas has organized exhibitions including one featuring Argentinian artist Leon Ferrari at the Arlington Art Center in Virginia as well as Argentina In Focus: Cristian Segura / Sergio Vega at the Museum of the Americas in Washington D.C.

Levinas is a contemporary art collector together with his wife, Mirella, a member of the Reina Sofia Museum board. Their collection is international with a large focus on Latin American artists.
